The Dance of Art, Body, and Earth:

A Somatic and Expressive Arts Immersion

with Jamie McHugh and Adriana Marchione
October 1 - 5, 2026
(Beginning 5 pm October 1 and ending at noon October 5)

at Shantigar

Fee (includes lodging and 4 catered dinners):
$1300 (early registration by August 10), $1500 after. Payment plans available.

Reconnect with Land, Body, and Creativity. Join Adriana and Jamie for a 5-day residency in the hills of Western Massachusetts during the spectacular Fall display of changing color. We will slow down, reconnect with ourselves, and deepen our relationship to the natural world through embodied and artistic practices.

Whether you’re in a period of transition, feeling the weight of the world, or need time to recharge, we invite you to come as you are for support, soothing, and inspiration. This space is not about performance or perfection. It’s about presence—with yourself, each other, and the living land.

This immersion is open to all levels of experience. Artists, dancers, health care practitioners, therapists, and/or educators are encouraged to attend.

Together, we’ll engage in:
•
Movement and somatic grounding to awaken body awareness
•
Visual art-making inspired by the landscape and inner imagery
•
Sound and breath meditations to support deep rest and rejuvenation
•
Interactive exploration with the natural elements—tree, sky, water, and earth
•
Creative writing and reflection to integrate and give voice to your experience

If you have not worked with Jamie or Adriana, contact Jamie for a 15-minute Zoom conversation.
