Treat yourself to wellness at Shantigar in the rolling foothills of the Berkshire Mountains. This all-recovery weekend is for people who identify as women and are impacted by their own addiction or/and the addiction of others. We are a trans and LGBTQIA+ inclusive group. All are welcome.
Worldly experiences can feel especially taxing for those of us affected by addiction. Turn off your device and center yourself in a community seeking wellness. This is your weekend to rest, reflect, and rejuvenate, taking a step back from the daily press and stress.
What to expect: breath-centered yoga, all-recovery meetings, time in nature, delicious and healthy food, and art projects, each an antidote to worldly ills, and magically potent when combined. Set your mind spiraling upwards by connecting to your true self and your higher power (as you understand it). Connect with others on the path of wellness and recovery, surrounded by the healing grounds of Shantigar and the fleeting brilliance of autumn.
You do not need yoga experience, nor do you have to be actively working the steps to attend. However, we do ask that you have 90 days in recovery before attending this weekend immersion.

About Kate Peppard
After many years in a state of dis-ease, Kate Peppard got sober with yoga, left the city for the country, pursued yoga teacher training and is now dedicated to finding balance and ease, on the mat and off. Kate's yoga practice and teaching is influenced by the Jivamukti and Kripalu styles. Her classes are gently rigorous, focused on a balanced series of movements closely aligned with the breath. Kate believes in the transformative power of yoga and hopes to pass that gift along. Read more about Kate here.
