Join us at the Shelburne Falls Theater for an evening of award-winning short films. Shantigar is proud to partner with the Thomas Edison Film Festival, a prestigious touring showcase of independent filmmakers. The selection will reflect Shantigar’s themes of creativity, meditation, and engagement with nature. Many of these films celebrate the way one person can make all the difference. The program will be followed by Q&A with the Festival Director Jane Steuerwald.

This special film event is made possible by grants from the Cultural Councils of Buckland, Charlemont-Hawley, and Shelburne, local agencies supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency. The Shantigar Foundation is grateful to Pothole Pictures, a program of the nonprofit Memorial Hall Association, which runs the historic Shelburne Falls Theater.

The Thomas Edison Film Festival (TEFF) is a socially-conscious traveling festival that celebrates the short film as a unique art form, including documentary, narrative, experimental, animation, and dance. For 45 years, TEFF has been committed to artistic excellence from independent filmmakers worldwide and promotes empathy through films that both teach and entertain.
